Fairy Lanterns, Left Gently
My beginning with the Fae came during a time when my heart was aching and open, when I was listening for something that could help me stay with the land, with life, with myself.
What began as a single moment of recognition grew into a quiet devotion: creating small fairy companions and leaving them gently in the forest as offerings of love, belonging, and healing. Each one arrived as I arrived, carrying light, tenderness, and a sense of home restored.
These forest offerings were meant to create little lanterns of light in the living landscape that stood by me. They were placed anonymously, with gratitude for the land that had held me through loss, transformation, and remembrance. Over time, they became quiet messengers, not only for those who encountered them, but for me as well. Each fairy midwifed a piece of my own heart back into wholeness.
This page holds traces of those moments: glimpses of fairy lanterns left in trust, and of the magic that unfolds when wonder is offered without expectation. The forest remains sovereign. The gesture complete.
I share this as a way of honoring the path that saved me, and the unseen companionship that continues to guide me, gently, faithfully, by lantern light.
This is a living space.
From time to time, I will continue to visit the forest and leave new Fairy Lanterns, and those moments will be witnessed here as they unfold. In addition, this page also holds space for Fairy Lanterns that have been carried into the world by others — those who have felt called to place the companions they’ve adopted into landscapes, homes, or quiet thresholds of their own.
Each placement is honored in its own way, without hierarchy or expectation, as part of the same gesture of trust and release.
In gratitude,
DeAn’Na
